### Dr. Emir Otluoğlu (Istanbul University)
**Assistant Professor of Finance**
Otluoğlu majored in BA at Istanbul University in 2006 and graduated Master in Finance Program in 2009 with his dissertation about behavioral finance. While continuing his doctoral studies at Istanbul University, Otluoğlu was a visiting scholar at Northern Illinois University in 2012. He graduated with Ph.D. in Finance Program in 2015. In 2017, his doctoral thesis on the effect of asymmetric information on capital structure decisions won the Unal Aysal Thesis Competition organized by the Economic Research Foundation.
Dr. Otluoglu continues his academic studies as an Assist. Prof. in Finance at Istanbul University, School of Business, Finance Department. He lectures such as Business Finance, Financial Management, International Finance, Portfolio Management in undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, he gives classes and workshops at Istanbul Bilgi University and various institutions in corporate finance, portfolio management, and international finance.
Dr. Otluoglu played rowing in the Galatasaray Sports Club Rowing Team during high school. He is a member of Galatasaray Sports Club, Galatasaray Athletes Association, Galatasaray Thought Association, Ali Sami Yen 1905 Association, and Galatasaray Sports Club Solidarity and Aid Fund. Dr. Emir Otluoğlu was elected and served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Galatasaray Sports Club between January 2018 - May 2018 and May 2018 - June 2021.

He was born in Muğla in 1982. After completing secondary school in Milas Anatolian High School, he completed his high school education in Bursa Science High School and graduated from Koç University Business Administration Department in 2006. He completed his master's degree in Marketing Communication at Bilgi University.
